About Le Doan: by Miss American Elegance Woman
2004
Le Doan was born
and raised in Sai Gon, Viet Nam. She is lucky enough to be born into a
large family that consisted of her parents and seven brothers and
sisters. She arrived in America in 1990 with her younger brother and
now resides in the northern suburbs of Illinois with her son, Kevin.
Le is fluent in
many languages, Vietnamese, English, and Russian and completed two
years from Vietnam University of Education before leaving her country.
In 1999, she obtained her Microcomputer Business Systems Degree with
honors from the College of Office Technology.
Her platform is “Volunteerism: Our Children, Our Future”, which allows
her to reach out and help others as much as she can through volunteer
work and service to her community. She volunteer teaching basic
computer courses at the Indian Trails Public Library in her local
community and at the North Shore Academy’s Mentoring Program, working
closely with children who have emotional and behavior problem, helping
them learn basic skills, and supervising educational outings in the
community.
Le Doan's hobbies include hula and ballroom dancing, playing the
piano, running and cooking.
People would describe Le Doan as a very compassionate and caring
person. Compassion of other can help bridge the gap between people and
nation. So, she tries to help others who are less fortunate than she
even if it is just giving a little money to charity, volunteering her
time, giving someone a shoulder to cry on or lending sympathetic ear.
